We have one of the highest standards of living in the world, yet many people in our province are poor.
Poverty in a wealthy society is not inevitable. I believe we can—and should—work to end poverty.
We can take action as individuals, and we can take action as members of communities. Looked at in isolation, each action we take may not seem like it’s having much effect. But we don’t live in isolation; the actions we take add up.
As with sustainable economic development, I’m intending to spend some time over the next few months assembling examples and developing ideas on this issue.
